Steve Hacker

Formerly head of science and assistant headteacher in a large and highly successful technology college in the South West of England, Steve is currently STEM Lead for the Gloucestershire, Swindon and North Wiltshire Science Learning Partnership.

Since September 2011 Steve has been presenting and leading professional training and has been the senior tutor on the Subject Knowledge Enhancement course for chemistry formerly based at ‘At Bristol’. During that time he led the Triple Science support programme in the South West and the Midlands Steve’s work is consistently highly evaluated and is Specialist Leader in Education through the Cabot Learning Federation in Bristol.

Currently, Steve trains and supports teachers to improve the quality of teaching and learning through the delivery of the national programme of professional development. He is a Royal Society of Chemistry and STEM Learning approved trainer.

He works closely with senior leaders in schools to develop strategies to raise achievement and embrace science, technology, engineering and maths as a way of learning and is also a tutor and author for the Royal Society of Chemistry and has worked in the UK and in India
